Apply this code when documenting chronic kidney disease, hearing loss, or other permanent organ damage that developed as a direct consequence of an aminoglycoside poisoning that was determined to be an assault. This code is for use after the acute phase of the poisoning has resolved and the patient is being treated for the persistent sequelae.

• Ensure documentation clearly links the current sequela to a past aminoglycoside poisoning by assault.
