Apply this code when a patient presents to an emergency department or clinic with symptoms of sulfonamide toxicity, and the provider cannot ascertain whether the exposure was accidental, intentional, or due to another cause. This is appropriate for the initial visit for evaluation and management of the poisoning.

• Ensure documentation clearly states "undetermined" intent for the poisoning.
